Agilis Engineering Inc. Announces Office in Camden, SC

The South Carolina Department of Commerce and Kershaw County today joined Agilis Engineering in announcing it has located an engineering office in Camden, South Carolina. The company has initially created 14 new jobs and expects to reach 50 employees within the next several years.

“Agilis develops new products for some of the largest and most sophisticated companies in the world. Our customers each have a global footprint and push us to find the best competitive means to support their success. We see South Carolina as the best place for us to meet the demands of our market in the near future,” said Frank O’Neill, President and CEO of Agilis Engineering, Inc.

Agilis Engineering, Inc. was drawn to South Carolina in part because of the talent pool from Clemson University and the University of South Carolina. Current positions have been filled by graduates from these universities.

“As we work to compete in a global economy, South Carolina’s ability to grow its high-paying knowledge based industry is increasingly important. Today’s announcement certainly speaks to our success in that regard as well as to efforts to enhance the economic soil conditions to attract new investment and promote business growth. Agilis Engineering Inc. specializes in new products for the gas turbine industry. Agilis delivers a complete product development package from initial design through hardware manufacturing, instrumentation and assembly, and final rig or component testing. Working with an extensive supplier base, the company provides fully assembled and instrumented test articles ready for customer development or certification testing including test planning and execution.

Kelly, Jr., chairman of Kershaw County Council. “Today’s grand opening hopefully represents the first of many announcements of office-related companies locating in Kershaw County.”

In its 14 years of operation, Agilis Engineering, Inc. has been providing engineering services with a concentration on product development for OEM’s. The company’s clients include Siemens-Westinghouse, Honeywell, Rolls-Royce, UTC-Pratt & Whitney, General Electric, Solar Turbines, Hamilton Sundstrand, Catalytica Combustion Systems, Williams International, and Caterpillar.
